RUSTBASE Project Rules
1. General provisions
- All players on the servers of the RUSTBASE project (hereinafter, the project) must read these rules. Not knowing the rules does not exempt you from responsibility for breaking them.
- The rules may be changed or supplemented at any time. The administration will notify players of significant changes through the official channels, for example the #news channel in Discord, the VK community or the Telegram channel.
- The project follows a precedent system: if a player commits an offence not described in these rules, they may be punished at the administration’s discretion.
Explanation: this is not for making up rules “on the go”, but because there may be cases the rules do not cover.
- A player is fully responsible for all accounts associated with them. If one account is punished, the punishment applies to all of the player’s accounts. This covers both server bans and EAC/VAC bans.
Explanation: any account that has been signed in or left traces on your PC is treated as yours, and you are responsible for it.
- The administration/moderators do not interfere with gameplay.
Examples: loot lost because of a cheater, server or game errors is not returned; a stuck helicopter, a loot bag that disappeared after death, items falling through textures; being scammed by another player does not lead to punishment.
- If you disagree with a punishment, you can file an appeal in the official VK (RUSTBASE Bans) community or the project Discord channel. Filing an appeal does not guarantee the punishment will be lifted.
- The administration/moderators may change punishment durations at their discretion without notice and are not obliged to provide evidence.
- The project has a zero-tolerance policy towards toxic behaviour, including but not limited to discrimination based on race, gender, nationality or religion. Any form of discrimination may lead to an immediate ban on all project resources.
- The administration/moderators may decline to discuss player bans with third parties.
2. Game chat rules

- During a check the player may refuse to show any resources if they see fit.
Note: refusal may affect the final decision.
- The checker may not request or view personal messages and files without the player’s explicit consent.
Explanation: the check is carried out solely for third-party software.
Note: refusal may affect the final decision.
- Checking resources is voluntary; the checker may not force the player to do anything.
Note: refusal may affect the final decision.
- The checker may not demand that files be downloaded without the player’s consent.
Exception: RustCheatCheck, AnyDesk, LastActivityView, RuDesktop.
Note: refusal may affect the final decision.
- The player may scan the files listed in the exception of clause 4.6 for viruses or malware using any available tools.
Explanation: the checker may not prevent the scan or choose the website/software for it.
- An in-game call for a check is made only through a special notice on the screen, not through voice or text chat.
- During a third-party software check it is prohibited to demand access to the player’s personal information unrelated to the suspicion of third-party software use.
Explanation: messages related to third-party software are not covered by this rule.
Note: refusal may affect the final decision.
- The player may record the check by any available means, including audio/video recording.
- The player may request a repeat check if they disagree with the result of the first one and can provide additional evidence of their innocence.
- The player must provide their contact details when the special notice appears on the screen.
Explanation: failure to provide contacts is treated as refusing the check.
Note: if the contacts provided lead to a third party or no response can be obtained, this is treated as refusing the check.
5. Warning system
- For a violation, a player may receive a warning instead of the specified punishment, depending on how serious the violation is.
Note: after a warning, further violations lead to stricter punishments.
- The number of warnings is decided by the administration depending on how serious the violation is.
6. Paid services
- All paid services on the server are provided on a voluntary basis. Buying services does not exempt you from following the server rules.
- If you are banned, no refunds are made for paid services.
7. Feedback
- Support is provided only on the official project resources, strictly via tickets in Discord or private messages to the VK group.
- Response time is up to 48 hours.
- Players must be polite and respectful when contacting support. Insults, threats and inappropriate behaviour may result in losing the ability to contact support.
